If the deck has never been painted and is in good shape, stain. If it's already painted or badly weathered, paint with the right primer. We'll tell you on site.
How long before I can use the deck?

How often do I need to redo it?
Stain: every 2–3 years. Paint: every 5–7 with our prep.
